Job Summary

Please note that this position will be a self employed role, but in return, flexible hours and supportive environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a love for horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills in a professional environment. The position involves working with various tools and techniques to create beautiful and sustainable gardens.

Responsibilities

Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features
Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal planting schemes
Conducting regular inspections to identify pests or diseases and applying appropriate treatments
Clearing debris, weeds, and overgrowth to keep outdoor spaces tidy and presentable
Supporting the installation of new garden features or structures as required
Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored securely after use

Requirements

Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
Knowledge of plant care, growing techniques, and pest management
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and manoeuvring equipment
A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or related fields are advantageous

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
