Job description
We are a firm of Accountants based in Harrogate looking to recruit an experienced bookkeeper to join our team.
This is a superb opportunity for a loyal individual to join an expanding firm in a friendly and hard working office.
The candidate will ideally have relevant experience in industry, or current experience of working within practice.
We are looking for someone who has a professional manner and would be comfortable representing the firm when dealing with clients either by telephone, email or in person. They will have a mature approach and be happy working independently to manage their own portfolio of clients and as part of the wider team.
Primarily office based.
Part time, working 14-21 hours per week, Monday to Friday, to be agreed.
Salary: £20,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year - Pro Rata, experience dependent
The Role will involve:
· Regular book keeping duties / liasing with clients
· VAT Return preparation, reconciliation and submission
· Dealing with HMRC on behalf of clients
Required Skills and Experience:
· Experience of working in an accountancy role within a practice environment would be an advantage
· Minimum bookkeeping experience of 2 years
· Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
· Highly competent in the use of Excel
Experience of using Xero software
