Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Outdoor Instructor and ignite a passion for adventure, teamwork, and personal growth! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging outdoor activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire participants to challenge themselves while having fun. Whether guiding groups through nature hikes, outdoor group project, or just enjoying nature, you'll play a vital part in creating memorable experiences that promote confidence, resilience, and a love for the outdoors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your coaching and teaching skills while making a positive impact on participants of all ages.

Duties

Lead and facilitate a variety of outdoor activities such as wildlife and farm life husbandry, horticulture, wood work, arts and crafts.
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to established safety protocols and conducting thorough risk assessments before activities
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to teach new skills effectively and confidently
Foster an inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and active participation among people of all abilities.
Maintain equipment and activity areas in excellent condition, ensuring all gear is safe and ready for use
Monitor participant progress, offer constructive feedback, and adapt activities to meet different skill levels and needs
Communicate clearly with participants, parents (if applicable), and team members to ensure smooth operation of all outdoor programs

Skills

Strong teaching skills with the ability to explain techniques clearly and adapt instructions as needed
Excellent communication skills to foster a positive atmosphere and ensure safety protocols are understood
Ability to remain calm and decisive in challenging situations or emergencies outdoors
Passion for outdoor education, adventure activities, or environmental stewardship
Physical fitness and stamina to lead active sessions in various weather conditions
A proactive attitude with a commitment to creating fun, safe, and educational outdoor experiences

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
