Contract Type: Full time, Permanent. 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Are you passionate about empowering learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Lead to join our dedicated Learning Support team.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with a designated curriculum area, supporting learners with SEND from application through to achievement and progression. You will collaborate with tutors, curriculum managers, parents/carers and external agencies, while providing supervision and guidance to a team of Learning Support Assistants to ensure learners receive high-quality, effective support.

As SEND Lead, you will coordinate learner support plans, oversee EHCP and High Needs provision, chair annual reviews, monitor learner progress, and help develop inclusive practices across the College. You will also play a key role in staff training, transition activities, and ensuring support strategies are effectively implemented within the classroom.

About You

You will have:

GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) and relevant SEND training and/or qualifications.

Experience of supporting individuals within a SEND provision in an educational setting.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, families, staff and external professionals.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

A proactive, empathetic and collaborative approach, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for learners with SEND.
