Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Nurse Level 3 to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that support children's developmental needs
- Provide personalised care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
- Support children with their individual needs, including behavioural guidance and encouragement
- Lead and manage small groups of children, demonstrating leadership skills in organising activities
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery routines and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with the training and mentoring of junior staff or apprentices where appropriate
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education recognised by relevant authorities
- Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative
