Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Burger Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality burgers and related menu items in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills whilst ensuring exceptional food safety standards are maintained. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for detail, a love for food preparation, and experience working within a busy kitchen setting.

Duties

Prepare and cook burgers according to company recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and assembling components for menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
Monitor cooking times to ensure optimal texture and flavour of all dishes served.
Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or front-of-house staff.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Knowledge of culinary techniques related to meal preparation and food safety practices is essential.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting will be advantageous.
Familiarity with serving customers directly or through front-of-house staff is desirable.
