Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Driver to join our dynamic construction or logistics team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic handler—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials efficiently across job sites or warehouse environments. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy machinery will ensure safe, precise handling of loads, supporting project timelines and operational excellence. Duties
- Safely operate the telehandler to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and distances according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas with precision and care
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of work zones by positioning equipment and materials as directed
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements for safety audits and operational records
- Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate material handling tasks efficiently and safely
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with the telehandler, performing basic repairs or reporting complex problems to maintenance teams
Experience
- Proven experience operating a telehandler or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid commercial driving license with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on machinery
- Familiarity with excavators or other construction equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, including OSHA standards or equivalent regulations
