About hatch

hatch is a community-led organisation passionate about creating meaningful change for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people across the Wirral. Since our formation in 2014, we support over 1,000 young people annually through bespoke programmes tailored to meet individual needs in an approachable, accessible and aspirational way.

Our hatch service focuses on the emotional wellbeing of young people aged 8–16 through 1:1 mentoring, using strategies to manage anxiety, low mood and depression. Beyond mentoring, hatch offers a wide range of services including youth clubs, summer activities, parenting workshops, and holiday programmes. Everything we do is underpinned by a commitment to building confidence, resilience, communication and teamwork in the young people we serve.

We work in close partnership with the Local Authority, CAMHS, schools, and a range of third sector organisations to ensure our support is high-quality, inclusive, and responsive to the changing needs of the local community.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Wellbeing Coach to join our hatch team, playing a key role in supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people through the delivery of engaging, person-centred wellbeing sessions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by building positive relationships with young people, families, schools, and partner agencies while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of hatch.

This varied role involves planning and delivering one-to-one and group wellbeing sessions, liaising with parents, schools, and external professionals to ensure young people receive the right support, maintaining accurate records and completing associated administration, and contributing to the effective coordination of services.As a key member of the team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment while ensuring the highest standards of care and professionalism are maintained.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, the ability to manage a varied workload, and confidence using ICT systems. You will be able to work independently and collaboratively, build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and demonstrate a genuine passion for improving the wellbeing and outcomes of children, young people, and their families.

You will also play an active role in supporting the wider hatch team and contributing to the ongoing development and success of our services.

Pay: £23,419.00-£24,863.00 per year
