9 Alloway Place seeks a highly motivated and experienced Practice Manager to join our friendly and well-established practice in Ayr town centre. Our practice enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the esplanade at Ayr seafront, providing a welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills to oversee the day-to-day running of the practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care whilst ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all practice services. You will be supported by an experienced Assistant Manager and Practice Team.
The Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the practice, ensuring that systems and processes are effective and compliant with policies and regulations. You will lead, support, and develop the administrative team, nursing team and support attached staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. The role also includes responsibility for financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation, alongside ensuring compliance with local and NHS governance and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will drive service improvement initiatives, support quality assurance processes, and act as a key point of contact for patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a management role, ideally within a healthcare or NHS setting. You will bring strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organisational and communication abilities, and experience in financial management and HR processes. A sound understanding of Vision, Docman and M365 is desirable. The Practice will be making the transition to Vision from EMIS this autumn. The ability to work proactively and adapt within a busy environment is essential.
28 hours per week. Salary will be based on proven skills and experience.
