Waremoss Ltd are a group of 80+ community pharmacies trading as Kamsons Pharmacy. They are offering a fantastic opportunity to join their experienced IT team as an IT apprentice. Within this role you will further expand your knowledge and gain extensive skills in IT.
You will be the first point of contact for IT issues within the company as part of our talented IT team. It will be advantageous for you to have some experience or demonstrable interest in IT. Your day-to-day roles will typically include:
- Remote Software assistance: Using remote access tools to troubleshoot and resolve problems with pharmacy computers.
- Telephone Support: Communicating by telephone to assist users through configuring and using the company computer systems.
- System user management: Adding staff login credentials to our EPOS system and helping with management of Microsoft 365 user access.
- First Line Support: Act as first line IT support offering 1st line fix, if possible but otherwise directing to the appropriate alternative support, internal or external supplier.
- Onsite Visits: The role will include some visits to pharmacies for hardware related issues. This can include working with networks, printers and computers.
- Microsoft Business tools: To create MS Forms and SharePoint pages and sites.
- Self-Guided Training: Completing online training to broaden your knowledge within the role and to provide required learning for the qualification.
- Research: Familiarising yourself with the systems and software that Waremoss utilise including Pharmacy specific systems like Patient Record systems, Warehouse systems and more general systems like Microsoft 365 and IP telephony. Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to set self-learning goals and be self-motivated in achieving them.
- Basic understanding computers, software and MS Windows operating system.
- Proactive approach to tasks with a willingness to learn new skills when necessary.
