Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cladder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing cladding materials on various building projects, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and related trades to contribute to diverse projects, from commercial to residential developments. Duties
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements
- Measure, cut, and fit cladding materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Perform welding and other fabrication tasks as needed to ensure secure attachment of cladding components
- Utilise roofing techniques to install exterior wall coverings on various structures
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely during installation processes
- Assist with masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or other related trades as required for project completion
- Conduct inspections of installed cladding for quality assurance and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing or similar construction trades
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to cladding installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation tasks
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations on-site
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour in various weather conditions
- Prior experience working with construction materials such as metal panels, fibre cement boards or other cladding products is desirable
