The level we’re hiring at
We’re looking for a talented PPC Executive to join our growing paid media team in Central Milton Keynes.
You’ll work alongside an experienced PPC lead who currently oversees our paid media portfolio and strategy. Your role will be hands-on: managing and optimising client campaigns, analysing performance, implementing improvements, maintaining accurate conversion tracking, and helping us deliver measurable commercial results for our clients.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day simply changing bids and producing reports. We want someone who is genuinely interested in understanding why campaigns perform the way they do and who wants to develop into an excellent paid media specialist.
You’ll have support and strategic direction from within the PPC team, but we also expect you to take ownership of your accounts, spot problems proactively and come to the table with ideas.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and optimising PPC campaigns across a portfolio of clients, primarily through Google Ads
- Working closely with the PPC lead on account strategy, campaign structure, bidding strategies and budget allocation
- Building new Search, Performance Max and other appropriate campaign types
- Carrying out keyword research, search-term analysis, negative keyword management and ongoing account optimisation
- Monitoring budgets, cost per lead, conversion rates, ROAS and other key performance indicators
- Identifying underperforming campaigns and investigating the reasons behind changes in performance
- Producing clear performance reporting and turning the data into practical recommendations
- Supporting and participating in client meetings, explaining campaign performance clearly and confidently
- Working with landing pages and client websites to improve conversion rates rather than viewing PPC performance in isolation
- Implementing and troubleshooting conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager, GA4 and other tools
- Working with call and lead tracking platforms such as WhatConverts to understand which campaigns generate genuine enquiries and revenue
- Supporting Meta Ads campaigns where appropriate
- Collaborating with our SEO, web development and account management teams to improve overall client performance
- Keeping up with changes to Google Ads, automation, AI, bidding strategies and the wider paid media landscape
Technical knowledge
You don’t need to know absolutely everything on day one, but you should already have solid hands-on experience with Google Ads and understand the fundamentals behind running profitable campaigns.
We’d ideally like you to be comfortable with:
- Google Ads: Search campaigns, Performance Max, keyword match types, bidding strategies, conversion actions, audience signals, search-term analysis, negative keywords and campaign optimisation
- Campaign analysis: understanding CTR, CPC, conversion rate, CPA/CPL, ROAS and how these metrics interact
- Google Analytics 4: understanding traffic, events, conversions and attribution
- Google Tag Manager: implementing and troubleshooting standard conversion tracking
- Landing pages: understanding how page content, forms, calls to action and user experience affect conversion performance
- Meta Ads: experience with lead-generation campaigns would be advantageous
- Call and lead tracking: experience with WhatConverts, CallRail or similar platforms would be advantageous
- WordPress: experience making basic website or landing-page changes would be useful, although training can be provided
What we’re looking for
- Around 1–3+ years of hands-on PPC / paid media experience
- Experience managing Google Ads campaigns and making optimisation decisions yourself
- A strong understanding of the fundamentals of paid search
- Someone analytical who enjoys investigating why performance has changed rather than simply reporting that it has
- Strong attention to detail — particularly around budgets, tracking and campaign configuration
- Comfortable working across multiple client accounts and managing priorities
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients
- Commercially minded: we care about leads, sales and revenue, not vanity metrics
- Someone who actively wants to improve their technical PPC knowledge
- Agency experience would be advantageous, but isn’t essential
- Experience with Meta Ads would be advantageous
- The right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
What success looks like
You’ll become someone the PPC lead can confidently rely on to manage accounts properly without needing every optimisation checked.
You’ll understand your clients, know their numbers, spot problems before they become major issues and be able to explain what’s happening within an account and what you intend to do about it.
Over time, we want you to take increasing ownership of client relationships and strategy as your experience develops.
There is genuine room to progress within the paid media team as the department and client portfolio continue to grow.
Why join us?
We’re a small, close-knit digital marketing team based in Central Milton Keynes.
We focus on straightforward communication, practical strategies and long-term client relationships. We work across PPC, SEO, web development and conversion tracking, which means you’ll get exposure to considerably more than simply managing Google Ads campaigns.
You’ll be joining an established paid media function rather than being expected to figure everything out alone. You’ll have someone experienced to learn from, while still being trusted with genuine responsibility and client accounts.
We’re growing quickly, which creates opportunities for people who want to develop with the business rather than remain in the same role for years.
The package
- Competitive salary depending on experience
- Hybrid working from our Central Milton Keynes studio
- Your birthday off
- A friendly, energetic team that’s good to be around
- Genuine learning and development across PPC and wider digital marketing
- Exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and industries
- Clear opportunities to take on greater responsibility as you develop
- Social events with the team
