Beauty Therapist – Self-Employed/Freelance
Inspire Studio is looking for a qualified and motivated self-employed Beauty Therapist to join our growing hair and beauty salon.
We are a friendly, welcoming salon with a newly renovated dedicated beauty room, offering the perfect environment for an independent therapist to grow their own business and clientele.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine self-employed position, giving you the freedom to run your own business while having the support and facilities of an established salon.
You will have the freedom to:
- Choose your own working hours
- Set your own prices
- Choose which days you work
- Decide which treatments you offer
- Build and manage your own clientele
- Take your own client payments
- Run your business independently
- Be promoted through our salon website and social media
- Work alongside a friendly team of hair and beauty professionals
Day Rate & Costs
Our flexible room rental structure means you only pay for the hours you use:
- 0–4 hours: £40
- 4–8 hours: £65
- Over 8 hours: £65 + £5 per additional hour
This gives you flexibility to choose your own working hours without having to commit to a full day if you don't need one.
Salon Booking System & Payments
We can make running your business even easier by giving you the option to:
- Be added to our salon booking system, allowing clients to book your appointments online
- Have your own services and prices listed on the booking system
- Manage your own availability and appointments
- Use the salon's card machine to take client payments
- Payments taken through the salon card machine are paid directly into your own bank account
- You remain responsible for recording your income and managing your own tax and accounts
Beauty Treatments
We are particularly interested in therapists offering treatments such as:
- Manicures
- Pedicures
- Gel nails
- Waxing
- Facials
- Massage
- Lash treatments
- Brow treatments
- Other beauty treatments
You don't need to offer every treatment listed – we're interested in hearing from therapists with different specialisms.
What We're Looking For
The ideal person will be:
- A qualified Beauty Therapist
- Passionate about their work
- Professional, friendly and reliable
- Motivated and confident working independently
- Keen to grow their own clientele and business
- Someone who takes pride in providing an excellent client experience
A pre-existing client base would be beneficial but is not essential. You'll be featured on our website and social media, helping you to build awareness and attract new clients.
What You Are Responsible For
As a self-employed therapist, you are responsible for running your own business, including:
- Your own tax and National Insurance
- Your own business records and accounts
- Setting your own prices
- Choosing your own working hours
- Managing your own clients
- Your own products and treatment supplies
- Your own professional/public liability insurance
- Ensuring you hold the appropriate qualifications for the treatments you provide
- Your own business decisions and services
You will not be employed by Inspire Studio and will be responsible for your own self-employed business.
