We have an opportunity for a skilled, enthusiastic clinician who enjoys working with children in an integrated multidisciplinary team. As a band 6 Paediatric Rotational Physiotherapist you will gain experience in various specialist areas including acute respiratory, neurology, neurosurgery, neuromuscular, neonatology, oncology, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, surgery, nephrology and hepatology.
The post holder will work along side the band 7 team providing a service to the above areas and helping develop the physiotherapy service across the trust. Children may be managed on the wards, intensive care unit, neonatal unit, specialist clinics, in the outpatient department and in the community.
The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team including medical staff, nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech therapists, play therapist, dietitians and psychologists. They will also be encouraged to liaise with other agencies that support children and their families.
The Children's Physiotherapy Team is committed to the concepts of clinical governance and staff development through appraisal, training, research and audit. Our mission is to make a positive difference in children's lives through the use of specialist, individualised and fun therapy in partnership with the MDT, the child and their family.
The post holder will contribute to the Paediatric Oncall service.
