An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist to join a well-established Haematology service in Wales. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical Haematology services, delivering both inpatient and outpatient care while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide outstanding patient care.

- Deliver Consultant-led Haematology services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in specialist and general Haematology clinics.
- responsibility for inpatient Haematology care.
- Participate in the 1:7 consultant on-call rota.
- Diagnose, investigate and manage a broad range of haematological conditions.
- Work collaboratively with consultant colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support service planning and continuous service development.
- Maintain compliance with professional development, appraisal, and GMC revalidation requirements.
- Ensure safe, effective and patient-centred clinical practice in accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice.
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
- FRCPath.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Haematology or eligibility for CCT within six months of interview.
- Applicants trained outside the UK must demonstrate equivalence to UK CCT requirements.
- Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent).
- Previous NHS experience.
- Ability to build effective multidisciplinary working relationships.
- Experience working with clinical and managerial colleagues to improve services.
- Experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate clinical staff.
- Experience undertaking clinical audit.
- Experience in Haematology research.
- Higher academic qualifications and additional research experience.
