DEPARTMENT: BBC Wales News
LOCATION: Cardiff
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,000 - £34,500 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Journalist to join the Wales Today team in Cardiff. If you’re keen to develop your TV skills and work on one of the most watched television programmes in Wales then we’d like to hear from you.
You will work towards producing some of our bulletins across a range of shifts, including weekends. You will also work with reporters and correspondents to bring their stories to air in an engaging and informative way. There will be opportunities to develop your own stories for broadcast across a range of platforms.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Producing bulletins across a range of shifts, including weekends.
Working with reporters and correspondents to bring their stories to air in an engaging and informative way.
Opportunities to develop your own stories for broadcast across a range of platforms.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have previous experience working in a busy newsroom and a genuine interest in and knowledge of Welsh news and current affairs.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Experience of working in broadcast or online news
Knowledge of Welsh news, politics and current affairs
Experience of working to deadlines
DESIRABLE :
Experience of using editorial judgement in career so far
Experience of being able to work with limited supervision
