Full job description

The Pilot Group - Purchasing Co-ordinator

£28,663.06 (+monthly bonus following successful completion of probation)
Central Manchester (10minutes walk from Victoria with free parking)
Hybrid working - 3 office days

ESL is headquartered in Manchester and operates with a strong international presence. It was founded by two female entrepreneurs 19 years ago (both are still in the business), and the company has 75 amazing people with brilliant skills.

The Role - Purchasing Co-ordinator

Responsible for purchasing a range of products at the most competitive prices, supporting ESL to operate efficiently and maximise profitability. To carry out all duties relating to purchase order entry, post-order supply chain tracking and effective stock management.

Work collaboratively with internal teams to support supplier and new market development, coordinate stock delivery schedules and ensure effective communication across the business. Act as a key link between the Sales, Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to support the smooth and efficient flow of information, stock and orders.

Key Responsibilities

Buying a range of products from established suppliers, negotiating deals as necessary.
Coordinating requests for new brands.
Identify new suppliers.
Forecast levels of demand for stock items and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Producing management information reports (Weekly/monthly).
Identifying over stocked items, preparing offers and promotions.
Processing supplier offers.
Managing cancellations.
Updating system information (working to daily targets).
Order processing and administration.
Shipping & Import Tracking & Management.
Liaising with Vendor Supply Chain.
Supporting Warehouse with booking in & out.
Supporting Warehouse & 3PL with internal stock transfers.
Price list administration.
Answering incoming calls and taking appropriate action.
Creating and sending pro-active offers.
Chasing suppliers for expected due date of goods.
Pricing requests from suppliers.
Team cover in times of absence (variety of tasks).

Essential Requirements

Excellent communication skills (telephone and email)
Strong PC Skills in all Microsoft packages
Strong organisational skills
Accurate data entry and attention to detail

Desirable Requirements

Experience in Report Writing

Location (Customer Service): Head Office, Manchester (Short walk from Manchester Victoria train station)

Commutable from: Manchester, Greater Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Preston, St Helens, Altrincham, Stockport, Bury, Bolton, Leigh, Wigan, Wilmslow
