Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machinery according to detailed work orders and technical drawings
- Measure and mark sheet metal materials accurately using hand tools and basic math skills
- Adjust machine settings to achieve precise bends, ensuring consistent quality across all parts
- Inspect finished components for accuracy, defects, and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, tooling changes, and safety checks on equipment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production flow and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality inspections
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of press brake operation and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, tooling setup, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Experience with welding, grinding, or other fabrication techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and assembly methods
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to machinery operation and metalworking environments
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
