Business Development Manager

Salary: £32,000 per year + uncapped commission

Commission Structure: 2.5% commission on all sales to new customers for the first 12 months of trading.

Location: Allbart Ltd, Sheerness, Kent (Office Based)

About Us:

Allbart Ltd is a long-established sheet metal manufacturing company supplying precision components to customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK. Following continued growth and investment, we're creating a brand-new Business Development role to help take us to the next level.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit an existing customer list or be expected to follow a rigid script. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, is confident picking up the phone, and has the drive to create opportunities from scratch.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine impact.

As this is a completely new position within the company, you'll have the freedom to develop and implement your own sales process. We're looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and capable of working independently, without needing constant direction.

Your primary objective will be to generate new business for Allbart by identifying prospective customers, contacting them, building relationships and following up consistently until opportunities are created.

Alongside business development, you'll also help raise Allbart's profile through social media, LinkedIn and other marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential new customers across a variety of industries.
Make outbound telephone calls to introduce Allbart and generate new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain an organised system for tracking leads, follow-up calls and future opportunities.
Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Arrange customer visits, meetings and factory tours where appropriate.
Manage and grow Allbart's LinkedIn presence and other social media platforms.
Assist with marketing campaigns, website, company news and promotional content.
Keep accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity using company systems.
Work closely with our estimating and production teams to ensure customers receive excellent service from first enquiry through to delivery.
Continuously look for new ways to improve our sales and marketing processes.

What We're Looking For

The ideal person will be:

Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Comfortable speaking to new people on the telephone every day.
Organised, methodical and excellent at following up opportunities.
Confident using computers and learning new software.
Experienced with LinkedIn and social media for business.
Able to work independently and use their own initiative.
Driven by achieving results and earning commission.
Professional, personable and an excellent communicator.
Keen to become a key part of a growing business.

Previous experience in sales, business development or marketing would be advantageous but is not essential if you can demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What We Offer

£32,000 basic salary.
Uncapped commission.
2.5% commission on all sales to new customers for their first 12 months.
