Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager to join our brand. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between commercial and technical accounting, as well as retail business operations (DTC Ecommerce/Wholesale/Retail).
They will be managing the financial health of the various sales channels, tracking COGS, inventory valuation, marketing ROI, multi-channel reconciliations, and profitability insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and take full ownership of the monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Manage and train a Finance Assistant to ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping is completed.
- Inventory & COGS management, reconcile stock movements.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, putting processes in place to ensure timely payments.
- Own DTC Platform Reconciliations for Clearing Accounts (Shopify, Amazon, and payment gateways).
- Support budgeting & forecasting, and cash flow modelling.
- Variance analysis and performance insights, key drivers and margin variances.
- Track marketing spend & efficiency (ROAS/CAC) and collaborate with marketing to optimise spend.
- Ensure VAT/sales tax compliance across regions.
- Improve financial processes and systems to enhance reporting efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
- 3+ years in management accounting (retail/ecom preferred).
- Strong platform knowledge (e.g. Shopify, Amazon, Xero, Analytics & Reporting software).
- Advanced spreadsheet and analytical skills.
- Experienced with end-to-end monthly close cycles
