We require someone to work in our busy transfer station, helping to supervise customers unloading waste from their vehicles. You must make sure that the different waste types are off loaded into the correct bays and ensure the safe flow of traffic through the facility whilst keeping the area clear for vehicles to tip.
The area outside of the shed must also be kept tidy.
You must be able to drive a JCB loading shovel as this will be a key part of your role.
Daily fluid and hose checks must be carried out on the loading shovel and a daily defect check sheet completed.
A willingness to learn how to drive other vehicles is essential, as the role will also involve the emptying out of the transfer station on a regular basis using large plant machinery.
Training to drive other plant linked to the role, such as a dumper and 360 excavator will be give to you.
The ideal candidate must be -
- Hard working
- Punctual and reliable
- Competent operating a JCB loading shovel or tele-handler
- Able to work on their own initiative and also as a team player
- Have a willingness to learn new skills
- Be conscious of heath and safety in the working environment
The hours of work are 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with 2 x 30 mins breaks.
Rate of pay, £13.20 - £13.90 per hour
