Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and/or swallowing disorders resulting from neurological conditions.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with service users, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver therapy across a range of settings (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, community, home visits as appropriate).
Contribute to multidisciplinary goal setting, case discussions, and discharge planning.
Provide education, training, and advice to families, carers, and other professionals to support ongoing rehabilitation.
Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in line with service and regulatory requirements.
Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise, mentor, and support students, assistants, or junior colleagues as required.
Ensure practice is in line with professional standards, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation.

Your Skills and Expertise:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working with young adults with complex neurological needs, including cerebral palsy (CP) and other lifelong neurological conditions.
Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Experience working with adults with neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative disease).
Previously worked supporting individuals who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC), communication devices and other assistive communication technology
Knowledge and application of evidence-based assessment and intervention for communication and/or dysphagia in neuro-rehabilitation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Commitment to person-centred care and inclusive practice.
