Tax Senior

About Us:

At Purple Bookkeeping and Personal Accountants, we pride ourselves on creating an enjoyable and professional workplace. Our mission is to deliver high-quality accountancy and related services, with a personal touch, ensuring that both our team and our clients feel valued and respected.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Tax Senior to join our team in Poundbury, Dorchester. The ideal candidate will be organized, diligent, and skilled in communicating with both colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
Prepare and review personal and trust tax returns.
Ensure compliance with HMRC filing and payment deadlines.
Provide tax planning advice to clients and identify tax-saving opportunities.
Liaise with HMRC regarding client enquiries and compliance matters.
Support clients with tax investigations and enquiries.
Assist managers with complex tax advisory projects.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients and colleagues.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.

Qualifications and Experience:

While formal qualifications are not required, being ACCA/ACA/ATT part-qualified is advantageous.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax return preparation is essential.

Working Hours:

Immediate start available
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Core hours: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
