Full job description

Skilled Roofer Required

Haizain Construction Limited is looking for an experienced and reliable Skilled Roofer to join our growing team, working on domestic, commercial and public sector projects across the North West of England. Travel to surrounding areas may be required depending on project locations.

Job Details

Location: North West England

Pay: £21.00-£26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5–10 years’ roofing experience
Competent in all aspects of roofing works
Valid CSCS Card
Own tools and equipment
Own vehicle and full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of current health and safety regulations
High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual and professional with a strong work ethic

Experience Required

Applicants should have proven experience carrying out a wide range of roofing works, including:

Slate roofing
Tiled roofing
Flat roofing systems
Leadwork
Roof repairs and maintenance
Fascias, soffits and guttering
Diagnosing roofing defects and recommending suitable solutions
Roofing installations, repairs and planned maintenance
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications (desirable)
Working on domestic, commercial and public sector projects

Preferred Qualifications

The following are desirable but not essential:

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Roofing Occupations
IPAF Certification
PASMA Certification
Working at Height Training
First Aid at Work Certificate
Experience working on social housing, education and commercial projects

Duties

Carry out roofing installations, repairs and maintenance to a high standard
Diagnose roofing defects and recommend appropriate repair solutions
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Liaise professionally with site managers, clients and other trades when required
Represent Haizain Construction Limited in a professional manner at all times
