SHE & Facilities AdvisorRugby, Warwickshire
£35,000 - £38,000 + Development towards SHE & Facilities Manager
Full-time | On-site | Monday-Friday (9am-5pm)
Build your career. Shape our future.
We're looking for someone who wants more than just another Health & Safety role.
At Alcohols Ltd, we're looking for an ambitious SHE & Facilities Advisor who has gained a solid grounding in Health & Safety and facilities management and is ready to take the next step in their career.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to police compliance.
It's an opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and helping people work safely. We'll invest in your development, support you through your NEBOSH qualification (if you don't already have it), and give you the opportunity to develop into our future SHE & Facilities Manager.
If you're looking for a long-term career where you can genuinely make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Working closely with our Head of Operational Services and site leadership teams, you'll help ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently across our Rugby and Langley sites.
No two days will be the same.
You'll support Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives, coordinate facilities maintenance, manage contractors, assist with ISO compliance and help drive a positive safety culture throughout the business.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll progressively take ownership of more strategic SHE responsibilities before ultimately stepping into a management role.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be involved in:
- Managing day-to-day facilities maintenance and contractor activities
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance
- Supporting Health & Safety compliance across multiple sites
- Carrying out risk assessments and hazard analysis
- Delivering Health & Safety inductions and refresher training
- Supporting accident and incident investigations
- Organising Health & Safety training programmes
- Carrying out workplace inspections and internal audits
- Supporting ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 compliance activities
- Developing Safe Operating Procedures and work instructions
- Promoting proactive reporting, near miss reporting and continuous improvement
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and energy reduction projects
- Managing PPE stocks and facilities-related expenditure
- Working with managers to embed a positive Health & Safety culture across the business
About You
We're far more interested in attitude than having every qualification already.
You'll probably have experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction or another operational environment where Health & Safety really matters.
You enjoy working with people, have an eye for detail and want to continue learning.
Most importantly, you're someone who brings people with you rather than simply telling them what to do.
You'll ideally have:
- IOSH Managing Safely
- A desire to study towards NEBOSH (supported by us)
- Experience supporting Health & Safety activities
- Experience coordinating contractors or facilities works
- Experience of carrying out inspections or audits
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- A full UK driving licence
Experience managing or supervising small teams would also be beneficial.
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive here if you are:
✔ Collaborative and approachable
✔ Practical and hands-on
✔ Naturally organised
✔ Calm under pressure
✔ Curious and eager to learn
✔ Detail focused
✔ Commercially aware
✔ Passionate about continuous improvement
✔ Able to communicate confidently with colleagues at every level
