About the Role
As a Catering Assistant, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of La Cocina Mexicano. Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking and processing customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Preparing and serving fresh Mexican street food to a consistently high standard.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety regulations.
- Assisting with food preparation, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Delivering a friendly, welcoming, and memorable customer experience.
- Ensuring consistent portion control and food presentation.
- Handling dietary requirements and food allergies with care and attention.
- Supporting our social media presence by helping capture engaging content that showcases our food, team, and customer experience.

About You
We're looking for energetic, reliable individuals with a positive attitude and a passion for hospitality. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be eager to learn, and be ready to get involved wherever needed.
Essential:
- Availability to work weekends and evenings.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service.
- Customer service experience.
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety knowledge.
- A genuine passion for Mexican cuisine and street food.
