Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Breakfast Club Assistant, where your energy and dedication will help create a welcoming and nurturing environment for children before the start of their school day. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising children during breakfast, engaging them in fun and educational activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners while developing your skills in childcare, teaching, and child engagement.

Duties

Supervise children during breakfast time, ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all attendees
Assist with setting up and cleaning breakfast areas to maintain hygiene standards
Lead engaging activities that promote social interaction, learning, and fun, including arts, games, and light educational exercises
Support children with their dietary needs and encourage healthy eating habits
Foster positive behavior by implementing gentle discipline strategies and promoting respectful interactions
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
Support transportation duties if required, including safe drop-off or pick-up of children with appropriate driving skills

Experience

Previous experience working with children age 4- 11 years
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude toward child engagement and supervision
Knowledge of child development principles and basic first aid training is advantageous but not mandatory as training can be given.
