Full job description

Branch Operations Manager

Lead People. Not Just Paperwork.

Fed up with spending every day behind a desk, in back-to-back meetings or staring at spreadsheets?

At GreenThumb, around 80% of your time is spent out in the field, leading by example, coaching your team and helping deliver outstanding service to customers. The rest of your time is spent planning, organising and driving branch performance.

£30,000 starting salary + £2,000 OTE

Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (typically)

What You'll Do

You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the branch by:

Leading, coaching and motivating a team of Lawn Operatives

Driving branch performance, productivity and customer satisfaction

Spending around 80% of your time in the field, coaching, observing treatments and supporting or covering crew runs when required

Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with GreenThumb standards, policies and health & safety procedures

Planning workloads and making sure daily schedules and monthly targets are achieved

Working with Head Office, HR and Training teams to recruit, onboard and develop your people

Resolving customer queries and helping improve customer retention

Managing stock, equipment, vehicles, budgets and branch reporting to keep operations running smoothly

You'll Enjoy This Role If You...

Prefer leading people face-to-face rather than through endless emails

Like being active instead of sitting at a desk all day

Enjoy coaching and developing others

Thrive on solving problems and making things happen

Have experience managing or mentoring a team in an operational or customer-focused environment

Hold a full UK manual driving licence and have the right to work in the UK

Lawn care experience or PA1/PA6 qualifications are a bonus but not essential. We'll provide the training and support to build your technical knowledge.
