Are you ready to shape the future of defence communications? We are looking for an innovative and commercially minded Bidding Service Architect to join our Solutions Development team at Airbus Defence and Space.
You will play a key role supporting the bidding lifecycle, using your deep expertise to create compelling winning solutions for complex defence and government tenders
This role is instrumental in helping Space Digital UK win good new business by ensuring our service solutions perfectly align with customer requirements and project stakeholder needs across the full spectrum of managed services
Reporting directly to the Head of Service Solutions, you will work alongside a dedicated team of technical subject matter experts to craft compelling, winning customer offers.
Building trust is at the core of what we do; you will cultivate strong relationships with our customer community by consistently delivering on our promises through a balance of a positive attitude, technical detail, and business acumen.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Design Leadership: Act as a Managed Service design expert, driving the development of the overarching Service Model in line with secure by design principles and providing feedback for continual improvement.
Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the primary customer and business interface from the initial sales campaign through to service implementation and transition.
Structuring & Costing: Lead the design of the Work Breakdown and Organisation Breakdown Structures, collaborating with Finance to develop competitive resource costings.
Bid Artefacts: Produce critical customer artefacts, Work Package Descriptions, and comprehensive statements of work for sub-contractors.
Solution Articulation: Clearly map solutions against complex customer requirements, effectively managing and articulating Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Opportunities (RAIDO).
Resource Delivery: Partner with team leaders to ensure resources are prepared to deliver services on time, to budget, and at peak performance.
ABOUT YOU
Extensive, proven experience in leading and crafting compelling, winning bids for complex defence or government service contracts, with the ability to translate customer requirements into deliverable service solutions.
Experience of related experience in defence or government telecommunications, with an understanding of Military Satellite Communication systems.
Demonstrable expertise in UK MOD and Governmental service requirements for complex supply chains.
Deep understanding of managed services and secure by design, with the ability to guide technical specialists.
APMP Foundation certification and a degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience) are required.
Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, with a critical eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling written arguments.
