Full job description

ROLE: Workshop Based Engineer
HOURS: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30)
LOCATION: West Portway Industrial Estate, Andover

We're looking for a Workshop Based Engineer who will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and compliance of specialist workshop and mobile processing equipment within our SludgeTEK business.

Role Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, inspection, and repair of SludgeTEK workshop equipment and associated assets
Undertake servicing, fault‑finding, and repair of mobile and static processing equipment within the Andover workshop
Work in line with company procedures, industry standards, and all health & safety requirements
Support and oversee subcontract labour to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
Complete accurate work reports and documentation using company systems, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with industrial installation and control systems, including PLC or microprocessor‑based systems
Knowledge of motor control methods such as Star/Delta starters and inverter drives (up to 130kW)
Experience within water, utilities, or process/manufacturing environments (desirable)
Full, clean UK driving licence
