This is a great time to join our service to meet the needs of schools and our communities in the Basingstoke area.
As an Education Mental Health Professional (EMHP), you will be based within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Basingstoke, working alongside various mental health professionals.
You will work in education settings and in the community delivering a range of evidence informed interventions, under supervision. You will undertake mental health assessments (including risk assessments) and interventions based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model.
You will work directly with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, and in some cases their parents and carers. You will support MHST work to develop and deliver whole school approaches for emotional wellbeing and mental health.
You will be based at Brambly's Drive, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 8UN.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
To work as a member of a Mental Health Support Team in schools, providing a high quality, psychological therapy service to young people, their families, or carers. In addition, to support psychological practice within the team by communicating effectively about the psychological care of clients, by contributing to the supervision of psychological practitioners and trainees and less experienced psychological therapists, and by participating in systematic clinical governance.

Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1yr Education Mental Health Practitioner' course.
A further degree qualification - Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree or demonstrate the ability to work at degree level (this will be assessed as a University entry requirement for the Band 4 EMHP Position)
