PLS Civil Engineering Ltd is a civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and pipeline projects nationwide. We specialise in clean and waste water treatment works — including the reinforced concrete structures and pipeline installations they involve — alongside cross-country pipelines of all diameters and motorway communications upgrades (ducting, cabling and associated RC works). We regularly work as a subcontractor to Tier 1 contractors on demanding projects, pairing experienced site teams with hands-on management to deliver safely, on programme and to a high standard.
We're looking for a detail-focused Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. Working as part of a busy accounts function, you'll take ownership of processing invoices accurately and on time, supporting the smooth running of our projects across the country. In a contracting environment where costs are tied closely to programme and subcontractor activity, accurate and timely invoicing plays a key role in keeping the business running efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a bit of experience under their belt who wants to build a solid career in finance within a well-established civil engineering contractor.

· Coding invoices to the correct projects, accounts and cost centres
· Maintaining accurate records and supporting month-end and cost-reporting tasks
· Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, site teams and colleagues to resolve billing issues
What we're looking for
· 1–3 years' experience in a purchase ledger role
· A high level of accuracy, even when processing large volumes to deadline
· Confident using Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel
· Well organised, with the ability to manage a steady workload and meet deadlines
· Clear communicator, comfortable dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams
· A proactive approach to chasing and resolving queries with suppliers
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
