Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team to cover maternity leave on a temporary basis part time, with a view to a permanent position. In this dual role, you will be the friendly face welcoming patients and ensuring smooth administrative operations, while also providing essential nursing support during dental procedures. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and organizational prowess will help create a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist with their check-in and check-out processes to foster a welcoming atmosphere
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using our IT systems
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials before procedures
Support dentists during various dental treatments by passing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
Maintain accurate patient records, update treatment notes, and handle administrative documentation with precision
Provide exceptional patient care by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring their needs are met
Communicate effectively with patients in English to ensure understanding of treatment plans and post-treatment instructions
Uphold strict hygiene standards and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment
Assist with general reception duties including answering phones, managing correspondence, and organizing files

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar healthcare support role, with relevant certification or registration
Strong communication skills in English, capable of explaining procedures clearly and empathetically
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Proficiency in Dentally used for appointment scheduling, record keeping, and clinical documentation is preferred but training can be provided
Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding patient care with compassion and professionalism
Knowledge of nursing practices within dental settings is highly desirable
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
