Brand New Role Within the Company - Will suit those from an Event Site Background - maybe a Marquee Foreman or similar, but we will consider any background - You will be fit and strong - understand that the summer months in the Event World have some long day and above all a positive mental attitude - with lots of banter!
Armadillo Gear is one of the UK’s fastest-growing suppliers of equipment to the Film, TV and Events industry.
From major film productions and television dramas to festivals, sporting events and live entertainment, our equipment helps create some of the UK’s biggest productions.
We’re looking for an On Site Manager (OSM) to become the face of Armadillo Gear on customer sites, delivering exceptional customer service and setting the standard for professionalism within our industry. You will be hands on on the ground doing the job but also recruit and lead the team as it grows over the next few years.
This is far more than a driving role. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, builds relationships and genuinely enjoys representing a premium brand.
The Role
Based from our Cheshire headquarters, you’ll be responsible for delivering, collecting and, where required, installing equipment for productions, festivals and events.
Approximately 80% of the role is dry hire deliveries and collections (which all need loading and unloading.. so you need to be fit, strong and positive), with the remaining work involving:
- Management / Recruitment and Development of the On Site Team.
- On-site installations
- Derigs
- Customer site visits
- Supporting customers on location
You’ll also spend quieter periods supporting our warehouse operation and, where required, assisting our sister company, Fuel Team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting equipment safely and professionally.
- Installing and derigging equipment when required.
- Working closely with our warehouse team to quickly load and unload vehicles.
- Carrying out vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Maintaining outstanding customer relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell equipment and passing leads to our Sales Team.
- Taking high-quality photos and videos on customer sites for marketing purposes.
- Maintaining an active LinkedIn profile with regular posts showcasing your work and promoting Armadillo Gear.
- Supporting warehouse operations during quieter periods.
- Assisting Fuel Team when operationally required.
- Representing Armadillo Gear professionally on every job.
Your Vehicle
You’ll be personally issued with your own brand-new top-spec Iveco Daily Dropside complete with:
- Tail lift
- Full climate control
- Satellite navigation
- Captain seats
- Premium driver comfort package
The vehicle is for work use only, but it will be your responsibility.
We expect it to be kept looking shiny and new at all times and maintained to the same high standard as our equipment.
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who:
- Has an outstanding attitude and work ethic.
- Is naturally positive and enthusiastic.
- Is a genuine problem solver.
- Takes ownership of every job.
- Is confident and ready to take control on site to ensure rapid job completion.
- Enjoys delivering exceptional customer service.
- Is physically fit and happy working in all weather conditions.
- Works well independently and within a team.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Has 3.5T trailer towing experience.
- Takes pride in their appearance, vehicle and work.
What We Offer
- £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)
- Personally issued brand-new vehicle (work use only)
- Premium branded workwear
- Very high-profile customer-facing role
- Opportunity to work on major Film, TV and Event productions
- Supportive, ambitious team culture
Why Armadillo Gear?
