Brief overview of the role:
TS2 1RH. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required:
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Personal Qualities:
Patience, Non judgemental, Team working

Desired skills:
Communication skills, Organisation skills

Training to be provided:
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects:
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship - [Cleveland]

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. Please note this position is working in an online pharmacy.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:
Supporting customers over the phone and responding to queries
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

What we’re looking for:
A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment
Reliable, punctual and professional
Basic IT skills

No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Apprenticeship details:
Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Duration: Typically 15 months
Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
