Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking Trainedd Painter and Decorators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to train with our existing skilled workers to learn the painting and decorating trade. You will be working on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the aesthetic and protective qualities of buildings. The ideal applicants will possess strong communication skills, a good work ethic and willingness to learn. You will be reliable and trustworthy and must be able to provide good references.d A valid driving licence would be an advantage but there is the possibility of assistance with travel to and from work. You will be working mainly in the Shropshire and West Midlands areas.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and precision
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment at all times
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
Communicate with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any repairs needed

Skills

Primarily we are looking for people that want to learn a train and are willing to work hard to develop their skills
Good time keeping and the right attitude to work is of utmost importance
Excellent communication skills in English for effective client interaction and team collaboration
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site visits and transportation of materials but not essential
Flexibility is key

Pay: From £105.00 per day

Work Location: In person
