Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create vibrant, welcoming environments across various projects. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your craft within a supportive and energetic work environment.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to complete projects efficiently
Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and deliver results that exceed expectations
Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure flawless finishes and address any touch-ups needed

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields
Valid driving license for transportation to different job sites
Strong communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and clients
Ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise application of finishes
Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites and painting activities
Willingness to work outdoors or in various environments as required by project scope
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Painting and Decorating (minimum)
