Thistle Tavern Games Hub is a retail store specialising in tabletop gaming. We sell board games, trading card games, and accessories. We also host events, such as tournaments and game nights.

Thistle Tavern Games Hub seeks a Full-Time Assistant Manager

Thistle Tavern Games Hub invites applications for an Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team based in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for tabletop gaming and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Primary Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility for opening and closing the store, maintaining a clean and organised environment, and ensuring the safety and comfort of customers and employees.
Receive and process new products, ensuring accurate inventory management.
Help pick online orders and prepare them for shipping.
Engage with customers to understand their gaming preferences, answer inquiries, and assist them in selecting suitable games and accessories.
Facilitate organised play events such as tournaments and game nights, contributing to our vibrant gaming community.
Stay informed about the latest gaming trends and share knowledge with customers.
Collaborate with colleagues to complete additional tasks as required.
Supporting the store manager with day-to-day operations
Supporting the store manager with management of the store

Qualifications:

Demonstrate significant experience working in a retail setting.
Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and a passion for board games and trading card games.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Possess strong organisational and time management skills.
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay: Up to £29,120.00 per year
