MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To service and repair of our fleet of outboard and inboard diesel and petrol Fast Rescue Crafts

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Report directly to the Vessel Support Manager and ultimately to Group Technical Manager.

KEY WORK AREAS:

Service outboard and inboard diesel and petrol Fast Rescue Craft
Repair outboard and inboard diesel and petrol Fast Rescue Craft
Ensuring all shipboard mechanical operated and maintained in a safe, efficient manner.
Keeping company approved Planned Maintenance / Purchasing / systems are kept fully up to date
All material used for the Job is allocated against that Job
To ensure all appropriate PTW’s, Isolations, Risk Assessments, Method Statements are in accordance with the tasks in hand. Stop The Job must be initiated should any unsafe practices be observed.
Carry out inflatable & fibre glass repairs to rescue boats when required
Deliveries to and collections of items from our fleet of vessels in Aberdeen Harbour
General duties in our Rescue Boat workshop and on board our vessels while in port
Any other reasonable task requested by your line manager, senior manager or director
Providing out-of-hours service, as and when required
