The role
As Lead Planner, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a major Offshore Wind capital project. Leading a team of planners, you'll take ownership of the overall project schedule from development through to construction, ensuring a robust and integrated programme is in place to support delivery.
Working closely with the Project Services Manager, Project Managers, Package Managers and wider Capital Projects team, you'll be at the heart of project decision-making, providing the schedule insight and analysis needed to manage risk, drive performance and support successful outcomes.
This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of a complex, high-profile project, working across multiple stakeholders, contractors and work packages. If you enjoy leading teams, solving programme challenges and seeing your work have a direct impact on project success, this role offers the chance to make a genuine difference from day one.
You will
- Lead the Planning team and take ownership of the integrated project schedule within Primavera P6, providing clear, timely and accurate programme reporting to Project Management, the Project Board and project lenders.
- Drive the development and maintenance of a fully integrated execution programme, bringing together contractor schedules, engineering activities, financing milestones, regulatory and consenting requirements, while effectively managing interfaces across multiple work packages and project scopes.
- Provide meaningful programme analysis and insights that support informed decision-making, identifying schedule risks, assessing delay impacts and recommending practical mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure programme forecasts align with cost and performance reporting, enabling robust decision-making based on programme, commercial and revenue outcomes.
- Champion programme awareness across the project, ensuring stakeholders understand key milestones, critical and near-critical path activities, interface dependencies, and the commercial implications of schedule changes.
You have
- Significant experience leading planning activities on major engineering, infrastructure or construction projects, including the development and management of complex integrated schedules across multiple contracts and delivery partners.
- Strong expertise in delay analysis, schedule performance assessment and evaluating the programme implications of contractor claims.
- Experience conducting schedule risk analysis and running scenario planning exercises to support project strategy, risk mitigation and delivery confidence.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions, build trusted relationships and communicate complex programme information clearly at all levels.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including an understanding of project financing structures, routes to market within the wind industry, and the relationship between programme performance and project value.
