Kiosk Team Member

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £12.75 - £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 hours - 30 hours + holiday cover.

Hours range from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 3pm Sunday

Are you passionate about sushi and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a franchisee of Yo! Sushi? We are seeking dedicated Team Members to join our dynamic team at our Yo! Sushi kiosk.

While previous experience in the industry is a bonus, it is not required as we welcome individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. As a Team Member, you will have the chance to showcase your sushi skills and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Join us and be part of an exciting venture, bringing the freshness and vibrant flavours of Yo! Sushi to our valued customers at Tesco.

Whether you are an experienced sushi chef or just starting your journey, we provide full training to all our Team Members. You will receive comprehensive training in sushi preparation techniques, food safety and hygiene standards, and excellent customer service skills.

We will support you every step of the way, ensuring you become a skilled and confident member of our team. In addition to our sushi offerings, we have a range of ready meals and an assortment of mouth-watering snacks and sides.

Duties to include:
- Food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces

- Making sushi ensuring rice is prepared safely and correctly
- Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Engage with customers, sampling, and provide recommendations
- Utilise upselling techniques to promote additional menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the restaurant area

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous
- Proficient in time management
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices
- Ability to work well within a team and confident lone working
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
