With the ever-increasing amount of treatments and care we give to patients, our professional and detailed Administration department is needing BANK Patient Administrator/Receptionist to join and assist the team at our Emerson’s Green hospital, Bristol.

Are you a strong, detailed, organised and experienced Administrator who performs their role and plays their part in a team, with genuine interest, focus and tenacity?
Are you able to thrive in a fast paced and challenging environment, yet still ensure every step of every administration process is covered from start to finish?

This is a Bank position, offering casual working hours

This team works from Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 9:00pm and Saturdays from 6am-6pm.

What you'll be doing

Being one of our Bank - Patient Administrator/Receptionist will see your working requirements be split between bright and vibrant front of house reception area and the busy fun back office.

You’ll be meeting and greeting patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they are in the right place and booked in with the correct met by the correct person they are meeting.

You’ll answer calls from patients, GP surgeries and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, admissions and patient referrals, documenting appropriately.

You will be managing the booking and potential cancellations bookings including all the following ups, documentation, communication and notification that would be involved. You’ll be following the Patient Pathway and keep track of their movements between departments.

You’ll be scheduling patients for surgery, co-ordinating and aligning dates and ensuring that the patient meets the criteria required before hand with assistance from the clinical teams.

Another important requirement of this position would be the booking of outpatient sessions, using the strict booking guidelines adhering to breach dates and ensuring optimal utilisation of clinic, theatre lists and gathering patient information where appropriate for outpatient clinics.

What we’ll look for in you

It is envisaged that the Bank - Patient Administrator/Receptionist will come from a very similar background carrying out effective administration tasks relating to patients or a large customer base.

You will be an effective communicator at all level’s both written and verbal and will have strong IT skills able to pick up new systems easily.

Multi-tasking will be second nature to you as you will have examples of having had to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.

You’ll be focus and committed on your delivery of set tasks and requirements, always looking to achieve a very good standard of work, if not higher.
