Full job description

Job Overview
As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.

You’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, serving food and drinks, and ensuring our customers receive a warm Northumberland welcome every time they visit.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
Present menus and answer questions about food, drinks, allergens and daily specials.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using our ordering system.
Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee and soft drinks.
Serve alcoholic beverages in line with licensing regulations and company policies.
Check customer satisfaction throughout service and respond promptly to requests.
Clear, clean and reset tables efficiently.
Process customer payments accurately using tills and card payment systems.
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout customer and service areas.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Promote local products, specials and events taking place at Taste of Northumberland.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing requirements.

Desirable

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, cafés, bars or hotels.
Experience serving alcoholic beverages.
Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness.
Personal Licence Holder (advantageous but not essential).
