ALYTH AND AUCHTERMUCHTY
Full-time
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Multisite Dental Practice Manager to join our growing team at Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and capable leader with proven operational, organisational and people management expertise to oversee our practices in Alyth and Auchtermuchty.
This role requires a high level of professional judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to balance the needs of patients, clinicians and the wider business. Success in this position relies on previous management experience, a thorough understanding of dental practice operations and the confidence to make informed decisions in a fast paced, highly regulated healthcare environment. While highly rewarding, the breadth of responsibility and level of autonomy can be challenging for those without the appropriate experience.
If you are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, developing high performing teams and driving operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As Multisite Practice Manager, you will play a key role in leading our Infinityblu dental practices in Alyth and Auchtermuchty, working closely with clinicians and practice teams. You will ensure that each practice operates efficiently, delivers an exceptional patient experience, and maintains the highest standards of compliance, safety and clinical governance.
The role requires a strong understanding of business operations, employment practices, financial performance, regulatory compliance and people leadership. You will be responsible for making sound operational decisions, managing competing priorities and providing confident leadership across multiple sites. This position is best suited to an experienced manager who can work independently, exercise good judgement and respond effectively to the day to day challenges of running busy dental practices.
This is an office based position, with time spent across your designated practices as required. The role involves regular travel between sites, and you will be expected to maintain a visible, supportive and proactive presence within each team.
Working Pattern: This is a full time position working 41 hours per week. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.15, Friday 08.00-17.00. The role has a planned working pattern across both practices, with set days allocated to each location. Some flexibility may occasionally be required to meet the operational needs of the business, provide support across the practices, and attend meetings or training at other Infinityblu locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible leadership, coaching and operational support to practice teams across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with GDC, NHS Scotland, Health Board, infection prevention and control, clinical governance, and all applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
- Oversee HR processes including absence management, performance management, disciplinary matters, training and professional development.
- Foster staff engagement, retention and a positive team culture across multiple locations.
- Monitor and analyse key business and operational performance indicators, implementing improvement plans where required.
- Promote the consistent delivery of Infinityblu's values, systems, processes and exceptional patient experience.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clinicians, nurses, reception teams and support departments.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, induction and succession planning.
- Attend business meetings at our Hub in Pitlochry and Stirling.
- Travel routinely between assigned practices, maintaining a visible and supportive presence within each location.
We are looking for someone who
- Has significant experience managing multiple dental practices and is confident operating within a busy, regulated dental environment.
- Has a strong background in dental practice management. Due to the specialist nature of this role and the level of responsibility involved, applications will only be considered from candidates with previous dental practice management experience.
- Has an in-depth understanding of GDC standards, NHS Scotland processes, Health Board requirements, clinical governance, infection prevention and control, and all applicable regulatory requirements and standards within the dental sector.
- Is confident leading, coaching and developing teams across multiple sites, creating an engaged, accountable and high-performing culture.
- Can build credibility and work effectively alongside dentists, clinicians and wider practice teams, demonstrating sound judgement and professionalism.
- Is highly organised, resilient and able to prioritise a varied workload while managing competing operational demands.
- Has excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict management skills, with the confidence to deal proactively with complex people and operational issues.
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness, using performance data and operational insight to drive continuous improvement.
- Is motivated by high standards, operational excellence and delivering exceptional patient care and service.
- Leads by example, acting as a positive ambassador for Infinityblu's values with integrity, professionalism and accountability.
- Holds a Dental or Healthcare Management and Leadership qualification, or equivalent, although this is desirable rather than essential.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
