We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bank GP Surgery Treatment Room Nurse to provide short-term cover within our busy and friendly GP practice.
Essential Criteria
Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
Previous experience working in a GP practice, primary care, community, or treatment room setting.
Competent in wound care and dressings.
Experience in venepuncture and phlebotomy.
Ability to administer vaccinations and injections in line with national guidelines.
Competent in cervical screening (if required by the practice).
Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of patient confidentiality, safeguarding, and GDPR requirements.
Basic IT skills and experience using clinical systems (e.g. SystmOne).
Flexible and reliable approach to work.
Desirable Criteria
Recognised qualification in General Practice Nursing or Primary Care Nursing.
Experience managing chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD).
Experience in travel health and immunisations.
Competent in ear irrigation/microsuction.
Experience of spirometry.
Knowledge of QOF and enhanced services.
Experience working as a bank, locum, or agency nurse within primary care settings.
Hours
Ad Hoc sessions available between 08:00 and 18:30.
Depending on practice requirements and staff cover needs.
