Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and customer engagement, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive on teamwork and have a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and seating areas
Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions
Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering queries about menu items and recommending products when appropriate
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for staff and customers
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is essential
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is desirable
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
