GoTeach Education Recruitment are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 4–16 in a specialist school in Shepshed (LE12).
This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants, Sports Coaches, Graduates or Youth Workers looking to further their career in education, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Both full-time (contracted) and flexible supply opportunities are available, with the option to join the school on a permanent basis after a successful probationary period.
Pay & Hours
£110 per day (term time)
Monday – Friday
8:30am – 3:40pm
Location
Shepshed – LE12
Easily accessible from Loughborough and surrounding postcodes.

About the Role
The school provides a structured and therapeutic learning environment focused on behaviour support, emotional regulation and helping pupils re-engage with education.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supporting pupils aged 4–16 with SEMH needs
· Acting as a positive role model and behaviour mentor
· Providing 1:1 and small group support
· Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
· Assisting teachers with learning activities
· Encouraging confidence, engagement and independence
Suitable Backgrounds include:
· Teaching Assistants
· Behaviour Mentors
· Sports Coaches
· Sport and Psychology Graduates (as well as many other relevant subjects)
· Youth Worker
· Support Worker
Experience working with children or young people in schools, sports or mentoring settings is highly valued.
Requirements
· Experience supporting children or young people (university placements welcome)
· Background in education, sports coaching, youth work or mentoring
· DBS certificate (or willingness to purchase one with the support of GoTeach)
· Right to work in the UK
