Band 4 OT Assistant Practitioner – Orthopaedics & Surgical / Amputee Services

Prior experience as an OT assistant is essential.

To provide excellent, high-quality person-centred clinical care that advocates for patients, strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, develop personal leadership to support clinical growth.

The post is a key part of the OT discharge service supporting registered staff with the assessment and rehabilitation

This role includes : -

Assessment of trauma and elective patients who have been referred Occupational Therapy

Taking equipment out to patients’ homes and fitting items (training will be given)

Setting up / providing follow up visits for prescribed equipment,

maintenance of stock,

Liaison with outside agencies and patients’ families,

Teaching patients and their families how to use and fit the equipment

Undertaking falls assessments

The post is based at Wexham Park Hospital but applicants must be able to travel between all Frimley Health's hospitals and patient's homes.

This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.
