Haddenham Garden Centre is a family owned business which has been established for over 45 years. Our busy restaurant which offers great food and friendly service is looking for a experienced Food and Beverage Assistant who would be willing to step up into the position of Team Leader for their Saturday shift.
The position will consist of working 22 hours a week including weekends.
The hours are as follows:
Food and Beverage Assistant- 14 hours per week, 11:30am-2:30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and 10:30am-3:30pm on Sunday.
Team Leader-8 hours per week, 9am-5pm, Saturday with a half an hour lunch break.
As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will help us deliver outstanding front of house service ensuring that every customer leaves our restaurant wanting to return. The main responsibilities of the role will include greeting and seating customers, cleaning and resetting tables, taking and serving orders of food and drink, operating our till system and processing customer payments.
When working in the position of Team Leader, the additional responsibilities of the role would include:
- Working with the Restaurant Manager to ensure that all daily staffing plans are completed
- Setting standards of excellent customer service, leading by example and motivating the team to put the customer first at all times.
- Supporting all team members, as required with resolving customer complaints
- Setting up the bar and dining area (including waiting stations) to the correct standards and maintaining those standards at all times.
- Ensuring all Safer Food Better Systems procedures are monitored and adhered to in the Front of House at all times.
An additional payment would be made for Team Leader shifts.
Previous experience of working in a Front of House or Barista position within a busy, fast paced restaurant or high-volume coffee outlet is essential for this role.
