Job Description

Tarves School are advertising two separate Pupil Support Assistant vacancies, one for 17.25 hours per week and one for 10.25 hours per week. Candidates are welcome to apply for either role individually or for both roles. We would be pleased to consider appointing the same successful candidate to both positions where appropriate, combining the hours into a single post of 27.5 hours per week.

Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising the standards of pupil attainment and provide general support in relation to the needs of the class and individuals’ care, health and wellbeing and safety; to ensure a secure and safe environment.

There is a requirement to be flexible in school location within the cluster, according to individual circumstances and work with a range of pupils from P1 – S6.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Meldrum CSN.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
